Betty Rayle grew up in Southern California and graduated from Colby College in Maine. She now makes her home on beautiful Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest, with her husband, Frank. Her love of art started in the third grade ~ a watercolor of orange poppies in a blue bowl ~ (yes, she remembers this painting!).
However, it was not until after college, marriage and three children, that she started attending various art classes. Betty has since studied with many nationally known artists such as Ann Templeton, Judy Morris, Roger Broer, and Caroline Buchanan in Greece.
